Announcing: Inclusive Global Economies

10.11.2017

Weber Shandwick’s award-winning Social Impact practice continues its deep dive into key macro trends affecting positive social change, today introducing its new Inclusive Global Economies report.

The final report in the five-part Innovation Trends Report series illuminates how purpose-driven organisations are redefining the economic rules that have guided us since World War II and offers a perspective on how to accelerate the creation of a more holistic and inclusive capitalist system – including a road map and action plan for communications and engagement.

While we’ve made great progress in fighting extreme poverty in recent decades, current geopolitical unrest, climate change impacts, and other global trends mean that achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goal agenda will necessitate unparalleled innovation and creative solutions. In the Inclusive Global Economies report, we explore how many vanguard organisations across sectors are reframing capitalism in a broader context to consider the true costs and impacts capitalism has on people and the planet.

The team created the Innovation Trends Report resource to build awareness and fuel dialogue around the fast growing Solution Economy – multi-disciplinary and collaborative efforts by companies, foundations, nonprofits, governments and individuals to solve complex social problems.

The full Innovation Trends Report series was undertaken to answer questions about how to catalyse and sustain enduring progress against poverty, inequality, disease and climate change. The answers will be born from unprecedented collaboration among policymakers, business leaders, social sector organisations and everyday citizens within a new economic construct – an inclusive global economy.

A comprehensive view of the report series is below.
