In support of Daughters of Mother India
Weber Shandwick believes that giving back to the society, nurturing equality and catalysing positive change is not optional. It is a necessary and integral part of who we are. We feel honoured, and proud, to support Daughters of Mother India, a National Award winning documentary by Vibha Bakshi.
Gender violence against women in India is an oft documented reality. What sets Daughters of Mother India apart is that it is not simply a passive narrative of a social reality, but a call to action that aims to make people stand up, take notice, and above all, take action. The documentary is a showcase of society and law enforcement coalescing to bring in a safer society.
Weber Shandwick believes Daughters of Mother India is more than a documentary. It is a movement – to dispel the myth that India is the world’s rape capital, to catalyse public opinion against passive pontification on sexual attacks, into strengthening our legal and police frameworks.
